A Message from District Governor Bob Willits
9EC DG Robert “Bob” Willits joined Lions at LeClaire in the 1970”s. He was also a member of another club prior to joining the Bettendorf Lions Club. He has held many offices including club president, secretary, zone chair, vice district governor and Trustee of the Iowa Lions Foundation. DG Bob has attended two USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forums, one International Convention and is a graduate of the Great Plains Lions Leadership Institute. He has received both the Warren Coleman Honorary Award and the Melvin Jones Fellowship. A retiree from ALCOA he and his Partner in Service, Cheryl, have seven children, 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
