I joined the Grinnell, Iowa Lions Club in 1988. My career took me to Marshall, Minnesota where I transferred my membership to the Marshall Lions Club. Again my career took me back to Iowa where I transferred my membership and currently reside in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and belong to the Cedar Rapids Noon Lions Club. I have served as a cabinet secretary in District 5M3, a board director, club secretary, club vice presidential offices, club president, zone chair for two years, Second vice District Governor, First Vice District Governor and current serving as District Governor of District 9EC. I am a graduate of the Great Plains Lions Leadership Institute, MD-5M Leadership Institute and the LCI Advanced Lions Leadership Institute. I have received the Cedar Rapids Noon Lionsí Lion of the Year and Melvin Jones Fellow award. I have been the recipient of the International President Certificate of Appreciation and International Presidentís Leadership Metal. I am retired from the Army National Guard and from my career as an animal nutritionist with specialty in ruminants. Currently do part time consulting in the animal nutrition specializing in the utilization of by-products from the grain milling industry.
